Web Design and Programming by Chris Reilly

KISS--keep it simple, stupid.

A philosophy often overlooked in web design and programming, the KISS motto sums up a vital rule of successful design planning. Avoiding complexity in design ought to be a goal in itself; but all too often this end is foregone in the quest for ever-more bells and whistles, ever shinier buttons and baubles. Every newly added feature, every fancy new graphic, begs the question: does this make my web site better?

Chris Reilly is a Chicago-based artist, web designer and web programmer specializing in portfolio web sites for artists, musicians, architects and designers. Chris' simple, elegant designs are combined with open-source and custom-coded content management systems, resulting in sites that are clean, functional, and easy to use.

With skills ranging from design mock-up production to hand-coding HTML to customizing PHP software, Chris is able to implement a variety of content management solutions into a site to suit client needs, while simultaneously maintaining clean, efficient design and ease-of-use for users and webmasters.

Chris is available for freelance and contract design and programming work. Use the contact form below to get more information on using Chris Reilly's design services.
